Edgard Corona is Founder and CEO of Smart Fit, Latin America's largest fitness network, operating over 1,500 gyms across 15 countries with more than 5 million members. A chemical engineer by training, Corona began his entrepreneurial journey in the family sugar and alcohol business before entering the fitness sector in 1996. He co-founded Bio Ritmo and later launched Smart Fit in 2009, introducing the High Value Low Price model that combines world-class facilities with ultra-accessible pricing.
Under his leadership, Smart Fit expanded internationally—from Brazil to Mexico, Chile, Peru, and beyond—transforming the region's fitness landscape. Corona emphasizes horizontal management, team autonomy, and innovation in operational excellence, pioneering initiatives that kept gyms safe and thriving during the pandemic.
